“At the End of Darkness, What?”

What makes something truly beautiful? This message challenges us to reconsider our assumptions about beauty by turning to one of Scripture's most striking images. Isaiah 52:7 describes the feet of those who bring good news as beautiful, and that image becomes a lens through which we can examine our own calling as carriers of the gospel. The feet Isaiah had in mind were not polished or presentable. They were dusty, tired, and worn from the journey. Yet they were called beautiful because of what they carried. The message explores how the beauty of the gospel does not depend on the eloquence or perfection of the one proclaiming it. We do not need to be theologians or gifted speakers. We simply need to be willing to go. Paul echoes this in Romans 10, reminding us that people cannot believe in one they have not heard of, and they cannot hear without someone bringing the message. That responsibility belongs to all of us. As we reflect on the people in our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and our families who are quietly searching for answers, we are invited to ask ourselves a simple but weighty question: are our feet ready to go?
