New This Summer !
Alexandria Free Methodist Church has invited The Leavening Agency (TLA) , a group of dreaming believers who provide creative, Christ-centered program for kids in our community. Their mission is to create an environment for kids to have fun, creatively express themselves and use their God-given gifts to encourage others. Each day camp is directed by an experienced team of three staff members. The day camp week is 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a final performance which will blow your flip-flops off! The atmosphere is high-energy, interactive and FUN, with a focus on teamwork and mutual respect. Daily instruction and activities are related to the Biblical message of the musical production.
There are No Auditions!
TLA is committed to helping develop each child’s self-confidence, creativity and character -- and the best way to do this is by allowing them to choose what they want to do. Whether it’s a speaking part, solo, dance, instrument, puppet, or scenery panting, we want each child to experience the joy of using their gifts to praise God. Regardless of their previous experience, the goal is to help them succeed! The result of TLA’s “no audition” philosophy is an atmosphere of joy, teamwork and encouragement where children learn how each person’s gifts fit together in the body of Christ. It’s always a blessing to see how God works in individual lives.
Ages for Camp
The camp will be for rising 3rd to 8th graders. (Due to the material covered, children will need to have completed 2nd grade.)
Cost for Kids Shine Performing Arts Day Camp
Since Alexandria Free Methodist Church is partnering with The
Leavening Agency, we will need to charge a $100 for each child attending the Camp to help off-set the expenses of the TLA and the week Camp.
Family Discount
Multiple children from the same family will receive a 50% discount ($50).
